Top1. Bring water and salt to a boil. For creamier grits, use milk
instead of water.2. Slowly stir in grits and cook, covered, on low to
medium heat, stirring often for 12–15 minutes.3. Remove from heat and
keep covered for a couple of minutes before serving.4. Season to taste
with butter, salt, and/or pepper.For 1 serving, use 1 cup water, 1/4 cup
grits, and 1/4 tsp. salt.For 4 servings, use 4 cups water, 1 cup grits,
and 1 tsp. salt.For 12 servings, use 12 cups water, 3 cups grits, and 1
Tbsp salt.
